Rhinoplasty and heart defect
Question asked: - 02. 01. 2024
I am interested in a nose job, but I have a heart defect. Three years ago I broke my nose and operated on it, however, I am not satisfied with the appearance, so I would like to do rhinoplasty to improve the condition. Is surgery safe for me given my heart defect?

Rhinoplasty is usually a safe procedure, but in people with heart defects it is important to approach it with caution. Before šdecidingš to have surgery, I recommend consult with a cardiologist to assess your health and ensure that your heart defect is stable and that surgery will not pose a risk.
Plastically, rhinoplasty can significantly improve the appearance of the nose, but it shouldš be aware that, given your previous surgery, there may be a risk of complications such as scarring, infection or changes in the structure of the nose.
From the surgeon's side, a thorough assessment of your medical history is most important, because patient safety must be a priority. If the cardiologist approves the operation, the surgeon will carefully plan the procedure while minimizing any risks.
