I am 56 years old and would like to enlarge my breasts with implants. Is there an upper age limit for this type of surgery? Is it necessary to do a mammogram or other tests before the operation?

There is no upper age limit for breast augmentation implants, because every age group has its own beauty. Our oldest patient was 66 years old when she had this procedure. However, for women over the age of 35, it is recommended that they have a baseline mammogram, and in some cases, a breast ultrasound, to ensure breast health before surgery. With modern methods, such as digital mammography, breast tissue can be thoroughly examined, which enables early detection of breast cancer.
