Breast augmentation surgery results are usually long-lasting, but not necessarily permanent. Implants can last for many years, but changes may occur over time due to natural aging of the skin, changes in body weight, pregnancy or breastfeeding. Also, in rare cases there may be a need to replace the implants, but in general, when properly placed, implants can last for decades. It is important to regularly monitor the condition of the implants and perform control examinations.
