Implants and mammography
Question asked: - 02. 11. 2024
I want to have breast implants, but I'm wondering if the implants could cause problems with mammograms in the future. Will it be more difficult to detect possible changes in the breast tissue after surgery and are there any health risks in this regard? Thank you

Breast implants (implants) usually do not prevent mammograms from being performed, but they can make the examination a little more difficult. Implants can make it difficult to get a clear image of the breast tissue, as they can obscure part of the tissue and make mammography evaluation more challenging. However, specialists trained in mammography in patients with implants use specialized techniques (such as the implant push-down" method) to achieve better images and more accurate results.

Dear, I am thinking about breast surgery, but I am not sure if I only need an augmentation or maybe a lift. I am 165 cm tall and weigh 62 kg. What is the difference between these two procedures and which would be the best option for me?
