I am 45 years old, high blood pressure, and want to implant silicone breasts. Can my high blood pressure affect the safety of the operation?

High blood pressure may increase the risk of complications during surgery, but if your pressure is under control, breast implants would be safe. I recommend that you have a cardiac examination before rather than deciding on surgery, to make sure there are no more serious problems. It is also important to follow your blood pressure therapy and inform the surgical team of any medications you are taking.
