Dear, I have a problem with a constant runny nose and blockage of one nostril, with secretions running down the throat, which causes discomfort. I have tried various treatments with no lasting success. I was diagnosed with a deviated septum and the surgery was postponed several times due to a "cold", although the problem is chronic. Can the presence of secretions in the throat affect the operation and its outcome, and how should I stabilize the condition before postponing the operation?
