Otoplasty is usually performed under local anesthesia, š this means that during the operation itself you will not feel pain, but you will be aware of the process. After the anesthesia wears off, there may be mild pain or discomfort in the postoperative period, but this is usually very moderate and can be controlled with analgesics (painkillers) that we will prescribe for you. Swelling and bruising are also common, but usually disappear within the first few days. With proper postoperative care, the pain subsides quickly, and patients return to their daily activities after only a few days. If you feel severe pain or have any doubts, feel free to contact us.
